It feels good to do my homework. Today I did my homework. I feel good. I think maybe my ‘self-destruct’ mode (my school counselor said I was in a “self-destruct mode”) is coming to an end.

Today I slept instead of going to school and I thought a lot. I thought about how it would suck to not graduate from high school.

On Tuesday, my hatred for school came to a climax when my gym teacher gave me minus 50 points for using my friend’s PERSONAL FITNESS textbook to get credit for the ‘book check’. I feel like my gym teacher’s goal is to try to ‘make kids responsible’ by giving them stupid things to do like bring a big textbook to a class where we don’t use a text-book. So after that happened, instead of being in my usual “i don’t give a fuck” mood that I am in, i actually got really inspired to tell my gym teacher that i wasn’t playing any ‘stupid games’ and that the whole class was a ‘stupid game’ that I have to “play along with” so that I graduate from high school. She gave me -100 points which is the equivalent of not showing up to class for an entire week. Not sure if I learned a lesson other than “I am a happier person than my gym teacher,” or maybe, “I am more articulate and comfortable with my opinions/thoughts than my gym teacher.”

Perhaps the moral should be “Your gym teacher has more power than you, so ‘suck it up’.” On the contrary, it is really hard/’emotionally distressing’ to ‘suck up’ to your gym teacher and simultaneously fail the class. I guess my ‘trying not to fail’ has been instrumental in my failing of the class.
