Barnaby took some records from his pep-pep to play at WCBN and this gem was among the 45s. Being the great friend that I try to be, I offered to make an MP3 of the 45. Here it is!

I present to you, Back to Ypsilanti by Lee Osler. Recorded in 1983 for Mustache Records.

You can learn more about the song, here! They also have a MP3 of the song, but I think my recording sounds better; the vocals are less washed out in mine and it doesn’t sound as 2D and flat.

Thanks Barnaby!

Last night, Jeff and Walter and I went to the Post Office in Belleville to take pictures. It was surreal and fun.
Before that, I got to hang out with David for a while and we caught up for the most part. I really love that guy and I missed him more than I realized. Then we went to the mall (ugh!) with Alicia, Chelsea, and Tyler. It was okay… Chelsea bought so much dumb shit she didn’t need. I started getting slap-happy and dizzy. It seems like that happens whenever I poke around the mall. I really hate the mall..
Afterwards was free pancake day at IHOP. We ate our free food and complained/made-fun-of everything about the entire experience. I made a remark about how the consumers at IHOP at 9 pm on free pancake day are the same ones that go to IHOP any other day; stoner kids and grossly overweight families. Nonetheless, the pancakes were delicious.
today I scanned a lot of photos. to see everything I scanned, click here. If you only want to see the pictures I took at the post office, click here.

The Hungarian Pastry Shop

magicmolly:

A dark place that seems best to avoid. Not because its charm is forced, but because so many others insist upon its charm (and its strudel). Longhaired girls with intricate hosiery and serious faces, men with MCAT textbooks, tourists. Most of the food is known to be untasty. These are all reasons why the Hungarian Pastry Shop seems a place to avoid.

And it is, maybe, if you are a person who does not like school or the idea of it. The clatter, the bad coffee, the young men and women absorbed in their work—these things are bound to make you think of school. Can you bear it? Take your time to decide. The café is not going anywhere, nor its slow-reading inhabitants.

This is so many places in Ann Arbor…

this another poorly-timed spontaneous shot I took at lunch with my Holga.
This is Gabe Anderson and she’s a funny person
